Another interesting note was that Fred and Beryl were child sweethearts from 5 and 6 years old! (Beryl only passed away suddenly 13 mths ago.)
The Carlton flag was there as well as the winning Grand Final cup.
I am sure Fred is smiling.
Fred and his wife Beryl were very close to my parents and I have fond memories of Fred and Beryl and their son Fred junior visiting us often in Clifton Hill where I was brought up.
