YAY!!!! Have you got someone to follow you home? I know it sounds a bit silly, but it is easier if you have someone experienced behind you to keep the traffic off you. Just a suggestion, but even if you don't have a mate on a bike, get a friend in a car (but make sure to tell them to watch for your braking). If you have someone behind you it is just a little bit easier, one less thing to worry about.
This is a suggestion I do for anyone picking up their first bike, I can't tell you how many L platers I have followed home. A few weeks ago I even had to ride a mates first SCOOTER home! I was SO EMBARASSED, I said I would only do it if there was no camera. As I took off I heard a huge cheer and turned back to see all the boys from the shop cheering me off waving their camera phones. f***kers.
