The upper fault does sound like the motor is starving for fuel, either the 99 cheesecake pump or the injectors need a clean out. There are filters in the injectors too, but for a sudden surge like that I would be looking at the fuel pump.
BTW, what was your tanl level. She wasnt getting low at all.
I'm running the 2000 model, and with the turbo buildi i will be ditching the stock fuel pump altogether because it wont pump through the stock injectors at 90psi.
Second one, could be wheel bearings, dragging brake disc, or we had a case of a copper bike developing a while that sounded like wheel bearings but turned out to be caused by an aftermarket front sprocket with no cush drive in it.
