Take it easy especially at first and be safe. Book in for some riding classes when you get your sea legs so that you learn the right way.

Try and get your gear from Hiside the reason Im saying this is because he has the best deals and do you have to get a shoei, Phil has shark helmets and the price is really good and he has boots gloves and leathers so you should be able to get even a better deal if you get it all on the day. Shark are top helmets and the RSR2 would have to be the lightest helmet out there and its carbon. Phone 0417723799 and he is not open on Wednesdays.
