There was a guy over here (WA) doing track glass and he had a mold for the Busa (believe it or not!).
So that would be an easy step, and maybe he could flop out a carbon one!

All you need then is an Austin 1800 ute to trailer the Busa to the track!

i sat on one of simmo's mates busa at the drags a few weeks back , no kidding it felt lighter than my old gs500 , + it was running 8 second passes , the owner mentioned you can make a few simple mods to the bike to make it go quicker on the bends , by adding spacers to the bars, and making the chain smaller this reduces the wheel base, and the bike will kick ass in the twisties.

Yeh, we know... but those "a few simple mods" he's made are worth a fair bit, otherwise the bike wouldn't be light and wouldn't be running 8.9's. Maybe next time you see him, ask him how much money that bike owes him...

The X1 is a track busa but that level of mod is gonna cost money. In your situation i'd let the rego lapse, remove lights, mirrors, airhorns etc and ride trackdays. Riders like Spencer and Gardiner got real good by learning to ride on clapped out chookies. The key is not being a poser with the most expensive track bike, but having fun with what you got. This way you can always get it registered as the youngins get older and are left on remote control.

No one has sat on my bike recently and ive never met 99sydrd,if people are assuming its my bike they,re talking about,and yes my bike has cost lots as its never been about bang for buck.
