Yeah I agree, that would be a great deal if it was for a brand spanker...but for a K8 with 4000 clicks its just a good deal...and a great deal to the dealer 
I rode a couple of gen 1's, and preferred the gen2 for a few little things, namely a bit smoother, and seemed a bit more agile too.
But as stated, at the end of the day, its what you like? Do you like the colour scheme etc etc. Maybe it might be worth a few phone calls to some other dealers and see what they would offer for the same trade?
