Life exists when you worry about death.
So whilst your still alive - just live life the best way you know how and let death worry about itself.
I agree, as Slartibartfast say's in the movie version of The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
"Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I think that the chances of finding out what's actually going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say, "Hang the sense of it," and keep yourself busy. I'd much rather be happy than right any day."
This is one of my favourite sayings from the movie because letâ€s face facts
1. No One can prove life after death, and by prove I mean the ghost of Adolf Hitler being made to stand trial for war crimes type proof, not scary stories that no one seems to be able to prove or repeat.
2. There is only one way to know if thereâ€s life after death and thatâ€s to die, for good, not for some medical record where you see white lights and departed super models but dead as in permanent.
3. Even if there was some way to see beyond death we would not have the ability to understand what we were looking at as the human mind is not capable of truly understanding the reality of eternity, this is a proven scientific fact and the bane of many in the scientific community especially in Mathematics and Physics. The quest to define infinity has driven some men mad, such is the limitation of our current evolution.
4. What an arrogant species we are, we actually define our own sentience based on guess work, faith and some pretty shaky science and then declare ourselves to be the children of an all omnipotent being that will provide continuity beyond the physical form, I mean really.
As Socrates said “The only thing I know is I know nothing†and for all our achievements we are still bound by the physical laws of existence and the limits of our mind.
But do not despair, as thereâ€s a joker in the pack called faith, but thatâ€s a discussion best left for another time.
