When I got the Busa a mate of mine gave me a selection of Meguires motorcycle products as a christening present. So now I am a Meguires whore - ez clean spray & rinse, soft wash gel, deep crystal wet look cleaner wax, plastic cleaner / polish, detailer mist & wipe. I think I have a better collection of products, applicators & cloths than some auto stores
Meguires does a great job but I don't assume it to better than other products. The majority of the nice bikes I see out & about all sparkle & shine just the same.
I still use dirty old smelly Kero on the chain & to get the lube off the rear wheel - can't get away from that unfortunately.
As for my tips - always remove chain lube & any other greasy crap to prevent mircrofiber or terry towel cloths from being ruined. Front & rear stands make the job easier & give better access (a bike lift would be ideal). Take your time & do a good job, but don't look too hard - finding another stone chip is bound to piss you off.
