Ever wonder what the insurance assessor would have to say re a claim for your bike if you were to have a prang on it even if the prang was not your fault (skippy) and they saw your bike as is?
Hey Marcel, my only gripe was the way the words were delivered. It was only a matter of time before either plod or RTA gave me the nod to remove them - just concrete heads being concrete heads. I've been pretty lucky with insurance claims, just the one in the last 27 years (FFS touch wood) so they don't worry me, mind you I still pay their premium.
I did the right thing after class and after getting home took them off. He had a pretty good look at the bike the next day. Lucky me. As I say - the delivery was pretty severe but no defect so lucky at the same time.
Two of them on ZX14s, one on an older black and silver and a third on the Gixxer thou. Jealousy is such a curse.

Max. I'm sorry, but the way I read your original post didn't sound like a gripe about a lack of diplomacy of the so called concrete head/s asking you to remove your spikes or else. At least you had the freedom of riding your bike home and fixing the problem and not having to either push or trailer it home and present it for an inspection. Plus time and costs. Irony here is, I believe, that we work for the same organization. Have the same big kahuna and get paid by the same pay team. Hello.
My question about the insurance is. If you did hit the skippy and your bike was a write off, do you think you would have got a payout from the insurance company? Bike as it was. Forget your good riding record.
