Love the Beast

I just watched eric banas new movie about his life long relationship with his xb falcon coupe.Ive gotta say it brought a tear to my eye,it goes a long way in explaining peoples passion and relationship with their machine and the strong bonds of friendship that are formed from those sharing the same passion.I grew up lying underneath cars with my dad and built cars of my own with mates as well.A one eyed passion most motor mechanics don,t understand, that keeps you holding onto cars and bikes that can be technically inferior to the latest and greatest, but have shared some of lifes fondest memories with you.Unlike a pet they dont die if you keep fixing them, although crashing them does take alot of wind out of you and makes it harder to rediscover the love, but given time it does come back.It certainly struck a cord with me and was good vindication that how i feel about my machinery is not unhealthy.Gotta go and do some polishing.Drool
