What a great way to start the riding year. A ripper weekend enjoyed by all who went.
There are good rides and then there are great rides, and the great rides are the ones that get talked about for a long time. For mine, the difference is the people who get along to a ride, which made this one of the greats. A big congrats to all that came along 'cause it was a huge turnout of good people and it made a great bunch who had a brilliant time!!!
Obviously, as the numbers increase, so does the likelyhood of incident. This one wasn't without exception. The good thing was that nothing was serious and everyone was able to continue to enjoy the ride. Even Trix made the comment that I usually avoid incident on rides but had my fair share this time with 2 holes in my radiator and 2 bird strikes (one on each hand).
Big thanx need to go to Shredder for organising the ride, top job mate. (even with a little bit of back tracking the overall mood and enjoyment was kept high through what you organised)
Another special thanx for me needs to go to m8ee and vnsvle for hanging back and helping me with my radiator holes. Champion effort guys (even after m8ee forgot the stand when he stepped off 10 minutes before hand. Ooppps I'll bring you that clutch lever to the creek)
Thanx also to Tim & Fred as good roomies who shared a room and didn't say anything about my snoring
Thanx also to everyone else who just did the right thing on the ride and made for great conversation at all the fuel stops and at the pub on Saturday night. Can't wait to ride with you all again this year.
Here are a selection of my shots from the trip.
