similar thing happened 2 weeks ago with rear
was dropping my apprentice home and chatting to his old man who rides a bonnie trump and i offered him a ride.
anyway as he goes to pull away from the curb there is this horrible grinding crunching nosie suddenly appear from the rear, it stopped after a few seconds, the only thing i could find out of the ordinary was part of a bottle top flattened laying in the vicinty of the bike, i am guessing it was flicked up and lodged on the caliper or rear sprocket, either that or a small stone as there was road works around the corner.
Yes i agree it very sickening sound and the first thing i thought of was wheel bearing. no sign of damage or anything broken so it s a bit of a mystery
however so far two weeks later using the bus everyday no problems.
does anyone know how often or how regular should the wheel bearings be replaced.
bigfoot is alright, probably a little eager but who wasn't at 17.
At 17 I couldn't be told much at all as i thought i knew everything there was to know..bigfoot is willing to listen and learn. something i should of done at his age....
