Some good advice in this thread about costs blowing out. You can almost bank on it.

Here's an article summarising this subject, Mainly Qld centric numbers wise, but I think most states except WA are similar costs. WA was cheaper, don't know if it still is.

I've bought and repaired a whole lot of bikes over the years, I don't think one ever cost less to fix than I budgeted for.
