K8 TRE

Not only does it remove the speed limiter but it also removes the timing retardation in the first couple of gears(Thus the name Timing Retard Eliminator or TRE) from what I understand, giving you all power from the get go.

This is only applicable to pre 2008 models eg: upto 2007. The tre on the 08 makes the bike less snatchy in the lower gears cause its producing less power.

From what I've read the above is true - removes the limiter but can adversely effect performance on '08s. Simmo, I think you are correct that you wouldn't notice any difference at WOT, but how's the bike ride around town with the TRE? Any difference at low revs?
