I suspect it has to do with the increase in riders on the road, partially due to the fact SE Qld is perpetually in a drought (so it's an easy activity to get into) and that Q-Ride brought so many new big bike riders onto the streets. Many new riders don't get the culture of riding.

Saw a female stop at Springwood Suzuki on Saturday, blue and silver Gen 1 with full white leathers. Made me do a double take. You're right, not many female 'busa riders around at all. Even fewer are available
