Buying a Toyota

Just to let you all know so that nobody else gets caught by the fine print.

I have just bought a car through Toyota finance.

I was offered a good interest rate so asked if there were account keeping fees as my credit union also ok'ed a loan. sure there are no "account" fees as such but unless you sign away control of your life and money and give them authority to direct debit there is a payment handling fee each time you make a payment.

Even though setting up a payment myself with my CU uses the same system as direct debit the scum suckers want a fee.


My little rant over. should have went with the CU

I have brought 3 cars through Toyota Finance.

Things may have changed, I don't have a car loan anymore, but I have never had to agree to a Direct Debit.

I always paid my account by cheque, until I started Internet banking with my CU, such as Bpay.
