I need a bit of advice here from the ECU boffins. I have done a full rewire on the bike moving the ECU behind the headlight. I had the bike running sweet after the rewire.
Since then I have decompressed the engine and after putting the engine back together I wired up some gauges I have got to replace the stock dash unit. When doing this I accidentally earthed a wire from the dash plug. I think it was the battery power wire for the clock etc on to one of the other dash wires. It blew the fuel fuse and at the time I didnt think much of it.
After finishing wiring up the gauges I have gone to start the bike and it is backfiring and farting and not starting. I have pulled the cams out and put them back in and made sure about 50 times that the valve timing is all good. I have rechecked my wiring and all is good there. All I can think of now is that the ECU might have been damaged in some way when I earthed the wire out.
Has anyone seen an ECU damaged from a similar event? I am sure the valve timing is right so I am running out of options here. Any advice?

There is no strong performance without a little fanaticism in the performer
