I put a K&N on my older bike and was happy with the fact that you only have to clean it regularly and not replace it.
I wouldn't bother replacing the OEM for a performance boost because I don't really think there is much in it except for a louder intake noise.
Let's face it, there is no lack of air getting into the donk via the OEM filter and it keeps out more dirt than the aftermarket ones.
