I think Rossi's strengths are outstanding riding skills (obviously), he enjoys what he does, is relatively fearless and a master at finding and attacking a rivals weaknesses. His weakness so far have been that the Ducati is probably the superior bike (by a smidge) and he couldn't find a way to rattle Stoner. I reckon he just stopped enjoying himself and lost his edge.
In the last round Rossi found out what you need to do to get past Stoner. Now he'll pick at him and just keep on doing whatever is needed to be the one in front. He'll start enjoying the game as much as the race and that will put the fire back in his belly. He'll either take it out... or wipe himself out.
As an Aussie, I'd like to see Stoner take it again, but Rossi is my sentimental favorite. So, I'd have to say that I'd be happy if either of them wins it this year.
