Hi all,
As you can see from the photos my first Busa lived a very short life. I picked her up from Wollongong 8 weeks ago and managed a truly enjoyable 105km on her before a P-Plater decided to pull out on me without looking or indicating and wiped me out 300m from my house!!
For my trouble I spent a week in hospital with a dislocated ankle (in 3 places) and a titanium screw in the talus bone of my right foot. In 10 years of riding that's my first accident and I'm just glad I didn't have either of my kids on the back....
It's not all bad news tho...8 weeks later i'm about to get the plaster off and I have had plenty of time to check out the forum and have a look at all the other great bikes out there...as well as catch up on every DVD ever made!!
Thankfully I was insured before I left the shop and I should have a shiny new bike in my garage next week. Thanks to all the guys on the forum I also have a list as long as my arm of modifications I want to make when she arrives!!
