K8 Milestone.... 25,000 miles!!!!!!!!!!

Given the varied tyres you have used in such a short time any insights as to mileqage and performance etc would be apreciated.

The Pilot Powers and the Dunlop Qualifiers were the best at feel/feedback. The Qualifier rear treadlife was fairly abbreviated... but it sure stuck like glue!

For me, the Avon Storm is the best all-around tire, for three reasons:

- outstanding dry grip
- even more phenomenal: the wet grip is unreal!
- exceptional rear treadlife, given the stickiness: ~ 6500 miles per set.

The Conti Road Attacks were okay.... not outstanding, but not bad. About 4000-4500 miles of rear treadlife.

The OEM Bridgestones, well... I *tried* to like these tires, I really did, but in the end... they were horrible. Completely worthless in the cold, were I slipped several times over the course of the tire life. The wet grip is modest, at best. The only time the tire felt okay was in the very hot dry desert. The sidewalls on this tire are so stiff, they don't provide a fraction of the feedback afforded by the Pilot Powers or the Qualifiers.
