Hi Guy's, well the beast is finished (for now!), we rolled it out the door late Friday night, I took it for a blat around the block to make sure everything was ok, before throwing Jen on the back and going for a ride. Friday night was bloody cold, the bitumen was cold, the tyres were cold, I took off up the road, at about 80kph I poured on about half throttle, the bike snapped sideway's then proceeded to "snake" up the road till I rolled off the gas!. I made it around the block in one piece, picked Jen up then went for a ride into Parramatta for a coffee. I could have been riding through Lebanon "Oohh! man, a Hayabusa, fully sic!, how fast it go man?"
I replied with a : " It's quicker than ur fully sic WRX man"
Yesterday afternoon Jen & I went for a ride up the Putty only as far as Colo Heights, but it was a chance to play in some twisties, it is surprisingly nimble and held it's line very well, I'll make some minor suspension adjustments and it will be fine. This bike pulls harder than a 14y.o. school boy!. Coming out of the corners, Jen had trouble staying on, (she only has one arm!) so she decided the safest bet was to hang on to me as hard as she could, that seemed to work!. I am very happy with the way the bike came together and how it runs. For an everyday street and long distance bike, it is Awsome.
Cheers,
Tex & Bundy
