@ Blackzook. Take your K8 for a good long ride Bruce, then tell me it is not much better than a GEN 1.
I loved my Gen 1 bike and have accepted that the GEN II is much better than it in every aspect.
Your Gen 1 is a long way from being a stock road bike and hasn't been for a long time.
Of course good expensive aftermarket gear is better than the factory items.
How in the world would they ever sell the stuff if it wasn't?
@ Ray, My stock front rotors on the GEN 1 bike did over 120,000 ks with no wear or warping.
Gotta be happy with that. Also handled every emergency braking incident without fail.
I'm sure that a nice pair of lighter, cast iron rotors would be better but they are not necessary.
