Corruption will rise in the police force as it has been shown in the past by using that same law to intimidate and extract money from the offender by reminding him what would be the cheaper alternative a little bribe or lose your wheels.

I had lunch with a mate in Brissy yesterday. In general conversation he was telling me that a mate of his (copper in a small town) has got an awesome bike & car & other stuff.
When things are seized by the cops & auctioned, the cops rig the bidding so that they are the auction winning bid & they get things at a 'reasonable' but supposedly legitimate price.
My mate said this copper he knows has some really nice gear.
