Yeah, Maybe so. But if they are going to wear gear suitable for a child's playground, then maybe they should go buy a toy bike.

They can join the "real" world when they grow up.

Almost ALL riders will acknowledge another rider on the road or at the lights.
I do what some others here do.
If the other rider is an idiot not wearing gear, I won't even look their direction, let alone acknowledge them.
