What is this rotor you are referring to? Not the brake rotors.

Yes mate you can just swap ecu's.......BUT you will need the rotor from a 02 and up as well (has external pickups). I've done this myself when swaping from 99(harness swap) to 01 to 04, rest of sensors and stator are the same.
