Some of the 3rd party insurers now cover the rider/driver as well.
In NSW we have a new charge for the past couple of years that is supposed to cover the protection of young people seriously injured in accidents for the rest of their life.
I cannot understand that for motorcycles, this fee is over $100 per year but for my car, it is only in the region of $40 per year.
Are they saying that we bikers maim more young people than those in cages?
No, I think they are just taking more money off people who save money by riding. Thats all.
