Things that are different Gen 1 v Gen II
#46
Rotor spacing is further out to lign up with the radial mount calipers.Busa triples are further apart than gixxer1000 triples.gen 2 rotor spacing is 145mm(outside to outside).gixxer 1000 rotor spacing is 136mm.Guess whats the difference in triples width between a gixxer1000 and a busa.drumroll please.putting it another way gixxer forks will fit a gen1 if a gen2 wheel is fitted provided a copper sleeve is fitted to the bottom triple as the gixxer forks are thinner there.I,m surprised they spaced the rotors so far out, thats a backwards engineering step.perhaps the smaller disc diameter and steeper head angle out weigh this.It would be interesting to see if the goose neck angle is actually different or if they have just pulled the forks and lifted the rear and lowered the rear subframe to hide this?this bike would definately benefit from light rotors being so far from the centre axis.your not cooking a fish under there are you simmo?Lol3
