Hi there,
Welcome to the forum. You will be very happy with the Hayabusa. As a friend of mine once said to me "Better your sister in a Brothel than your best mate on a Honda"
The engine in the bus is long lasting. The oil cooler is big because Suzuki like to effectively cool the oil. As for the hot spots, it's the legs, but only if standing for a long time at the lights and the fan kicks in. But nobody I know has ever complained about excessive heat off the bike so I dont believe it's a problem.
They are a very good allround bike. It will not do what a GSXR1000 does, but you can ride to the Snowys from Sydney and not need a chiropractor when you get there. And when you give it a handful, everything else will not matter.
