Welcome TONY.
You certainly have got some questions.
You will find nearly all the answers among our discussions and we would be repeating ourselves over and over to answer them all for every newbie.
Yes, you can buy them cheaper if you are prepared to travel.
I think the best deal in QLD is on the Sunshine coast.
The hero knobs are longer than on the old model but the busa leans quite a way before scraping anything.
The new BT015 tyres are terrific. I don't think I'll be replacing them with another tyre unless they die at less than 6,000 ks.
The rims on the blue bike (GOLD) are the best. They are metalflake in the sunshine and appear matt in the shade.
I had a 99 model for over 3 years and had no problems with the rectifier but the new model has a total electrics refit including immobiliser and stronger lights.
The taller guys are complaining about the windscreen but I love it at 173cm.
You will probably need a pair of rearset pegs if over 180cm.
The new model has twin radiator fans and a larger radiator to boot.
I have been riding on some hot days here in Newcastle and the bike does not suffer and neither have I from the heat coming off it.
