has the new k8 killed us

hahaha i find it funny we all waited and waited and whinged the "new" model hadnt come out that each year all we got was Bold new colours. now its out it has more power, it has better brakes and now we whinge about it hahaha oh well all i can say is im glad i made the upgrade from the gen1 to the gen2 and i like the look so i guess each to there own. one thing i will say in terms of resale value. do we want to run the same model for 20 years so we can keep our resale up or do we want to advance with the times? im not saying that its not a shitty deal for you guys who have lost money on your bikes but we have had it good since 99 in terms of resale etc. what if you had bought an R1 or gsxr1000 bascially new/redesigned model every couple years.
