not authentic jap steel, rather chinese. real jap stuff is well over 10 grand a piece and very limited allowed for export maybe 15 a year i hear. can always get authentic ww2 jap swords but theyre usually beaten up and well rusted.
Paul Chen (USA) created his own brand named Hanwei using chinese forges according to his specs. His swords are as close as you get to authentic jap and affordable. Ive got a Practical Plus for US185+shipping. And theyre a full cutting sword. Have a few other by Global Gear.
