Loafie had no choice his forks were leaking and any fix would improve that. But I do agree Glenn, that new oil would be good for it.
I didn't get a chance to talk to the actual mechanic that worked on my bike the other day but we did talk this morning, especially about the oil leaks. He was very impressed with the state of the shims. After 112,000ks they were still exactly on mid range of factory spec on every tappet.
Now if he can stop the seepage, I can get back out and enjoy the ride.
