08 Busa Pricing and ETA

Hey all, been lurking a while helping decide on my next bike. Think I have made up my mind.
What I would like is some feedback (via PM if necessary) with regards to pricing and ETA's for your 08 Busas. I was about to put my deposit when a few things just seemed odd, so I rang Suzuki Aus to clear it up. Just the usual inter-dealer rivalry I think, but I am curious what dealers have been telling people.

A few dealers have told me late October to early November.

Not that I mind, it's giving me plenty of time to finish my intercom and gps system.

I am VERY interested to hear what Suzuki Aus told you.

Suzuki Aus wouldn't quote a price, but would confirm it wasn't any dearer. They also seem to be expecting first shipment very late Oct, but realistically early Nov.

A dealer in Sydney was telling me mid to late Oct, and a $500 price increase...unless I order now and get old model pricing $19990 ride away.

The local dealer is saying early Nov and $19700 ride away.

Suzuki Aus also said with regard to 08 backorders, if there is a shortfall, regional managers will be allocating to there bigger selling dealerships first.

I just want one!

Given supply vs. demand I would have guessed that the ppl who want one ASAP won't be in a great position for bargaining.

I'm not too concerned about time, so long as we don't end up with a 6 month waiting list ie. Duc 1098.

The dealer I've gone thru has already given me good discounts on gear, lets hope they continue to be generous throughout my dealings with them haha.

dealer in adelaide told me they will be same rrp as 07 model +on road costs, said they won't be here till december, I got a busa so will wait till prices come down [& they will] cause I want a stable mate for black13, another black one of course

I just checked the official Suzuki Australia website and the price is listed at $18,490 plus on road costs.(INC GST).
You can always negotiate this with a dealer of course.

I checked the Suzuki Aus website as well Bugs but I'm pretty sure that it says "expected"... Gives them room to bump it up if they want. The yanks have seen a USD$500 increase so you can't imagine why Aus wouldn't take that opportunity too... Maybe I'm just being too cynical.

And ORC in Vic are apparently only about $1k or less depending on the dealer.

I've sold both my bikes, 99 Copper Busa and my VN1500. No one likes wasting money, but yeah I'm in a similar situation to you Simo.

Nope the price is now fixed at Suggested Retail Price from Dealers at $18,490 plus ORC.

Price is negotiable with dealers.
So get out there and deal.
