Bit of a tidy up

Progress update.

Trial fitted the extended tail section all freshly painted with hump. Made some new brackets to stabilise the undertail.



Trimmed and refitted the carbon dash and fitted the waterproof stainless LED's for blinkers and high beam, replaced the wiring and cleaned up the front harness.



Spent the afternoon smoothing welds and polishing the turbo plenum and up pipe.

Polished the fuel rail for the secondary injectors

I should get all the bits back from the platers next Friday then its reassemble, fit the HID's to high and low beam then polish the lot. Lucky I have four days off it will take at least that long.

Clutch looks fairly stock Bruce, I thought with all that hp, there may be something more exotic lurking under the cover?

At least some of simmos trick clutch springs.

RPM lokup has been sitting on the shelf for the last 6 month or so. Thought I'd try foot shifting before I upgrade the clutch. Best to get used to one thing at a time.

Clutch spring aint stock - stock wouldnt last long with the turbo.

Got some engraving done



And the rest of the bits are out for either new paint, chrome, gold, or ceramic coating. Hoping to have it all back together by mid nex month at the latest.

Blackzook , whats the blue stuff on your up pipe to the plenum , is it for cooling or protection?

Update...
Most of the chrome plating turned out looking like shit, it had pit marks, scratches, bubbles and heaps of nickel bleed. Some I had redone and the rest was etched and painted as a temporary measure.

I got most of the painted bits back and spent the weekend fitting em up.

Swingarm painted gold with light metalflake.


Warp speed guards fitted


Chrome bottle is a crankcase breather not NOS but intended to look that way.


Sprockets chromed up ok


Axle sliders have heap of nickel bleed but went on anyway

Dash finished with airshifter pressure guage fitted.


HID headlights fitted f*** they are bright unbelievable (thanks Glen)


Heaps of other bits still to be fitted


Spent about 6 hours in the last week either replacing or tidying up the wiring and still heaps to go. f*** I hate wiring.


Still a week full of late nights ahead of me to get her ready for next Saturdays show.
