Life after death?...and other small questions...!
#1
Attention all philosophers...

One of my favorite subjects.
And it is in the Not Bike Related thread...Ghastly

Everyone has a view on it, whether it is that you just die or maybe there is the religious/spiritual aspect.

Some people think it's a waste of time to discuss because no one will ever know the answer. Coffee

In any case it IS a relevant topic I reckon...I mean we are ALL going to die...guaranteed.

Any takers...or is this one too big a question?

I dont believe in life after death. My dad died last Wednesday after a long illness and he had faith in an afterlife, it gave him some comfort knowing there maybe something after death.

To each their own.

Sorry Bruce. Even if relationships are not perfect, the person leaves a hole.

Very Happy
That's true Dan...you don't even question it when you are young.
I suppose people close to you dropping off the perch when you get older is a way of conditioning you as to what is to come...Coffee

I think it is very interesting too how differently people look at death.
Some the negative side, others the positive side eg that person had such a full rewarding life or that person died and should have lived longer.

ewwwwwwwww we are getting deep...Lol3

Nevertheless I think it is a fascinating subject...call me warped if you must.

Hey thanks for the best wishes all, he was a tough old bastard. By tough I mean he made a video for all 19 of his grandkids and even called the funeral people in and planned/paid for his own send off. A great guy who lived life to the fullest and checked out with dignity and style.Fatman

No sure what you mean Heidi we had a great relationship.

Anyway enough thread stelaing.

There is nothing after death so get out and have fun while you got the chance kidsPi_tongue

Experiment with OBE (out of body experience) and if your successfull, it can take a few years for some. Then you will know you are not that which you see in the mirror, ie your body alone. The body is but the coat one wears to exist in this dimension. When old and withered it is dicarded as an old coat. The real you is that which animates the body. But it is ones ego that dominates (the persona created in this life), the other is pretty dormant. Often resulting in the internal battle of wills controlling the body.

If within the existance of the Universe spanning billions of years with millions of various forms of civilisations. If the sum total of ones life is to: Eat, Shit, Piss, F*ck and then die, if you ask me its one hellova joke on man as one big f*cking waste of time.

Is there life after death? Simple really, either only 2 possibilities exist:

1. You die and find you still exist in some form. (Etheric)

2. You die and theres nothing there - you wont even know your dead.

So the question you have to ask yourself, ok on number 2, but frakk what if its number 1?

Volvi, that was deep as,was that post written acid free?
Shit!

Man,i dont know what to say, weve all had our own experiences, some ruffer
than others, some maybe sweet as. Im 23 an have been on a pension for
a very long time due to a ilness that cant be fixed or cured.
Shit happens an im not writing this for sympathy, but man if you know me,
i live every day as my last.
Buying my dream bike while on my L's (now p,s) is one of many other
stupid things ive done lol
You only live once right?

I dont sleep.
Well 1st off cuz most of the time i cant haha.
An secondly, theres plenty of time to sleep, when your dead.

Or unless you dont die which fucks up that theory an means i
got a hell of alot of sleeping to catch up on.

Hmm,out of body experiences an hardcore dreams make me
think that theres something out there other than being wormfood
when we die,but i am never sure.
Personally i wouldnt mind just being wormfood an finally resting haha.
My end of rant an maybe a tiny insight for all who dont know me.

How funny,i look down at related threads...
