What's the best polish?

Yer, g'day.

OK, this is not a very technical query, but I am keen to know what you all think is the best polish for getting your bike in schmicko condition. My fairing's paintwork looks excellent after hitting it with the Meguires 3 phase (clean, polish and wax), but I have noticed a couple of fine scratches, which I reckon would polish out with a cutting compound, but don't want to try it without seeking your advice first.

It's raining, so I've got some time to kill.

Any advice would be appreciated.

i've got my raincoat on, coz this is gonna get messy.

Faint marks or scratches can be rubbed out with meguires swirl remover but that clear coat isn't too thick and using a regular cutting compound may just get you back to the base coat sooner than you think..........


I use Plexus.............and replace scratched panels with new ones

(dons flameproof suit, kevlar gloves, stack hat and knee/elbow pads)

have always used the 3 stage maguires.. wash it with gold class and then rewax and i have found that to work really well.
