good stuff!! pretty long tho - another question - will there be a performance & spec's page like the US site has/had??
Other wise anyone who comes to this site & dont really know about the busa (As if but anyway) they would be like. . "Great - a bike site.... same as the other 1000 I just saw"
But good on ya for writing it dude.

Well done
worth reading.:ausflag:
never fly higher than your angel.
Volvi, that is beautiful mate. I was telling CopperJosh a little about the start of the club the other night, and your story bought it all back. Remember when we all got our first hayabusas, and the club started, none of us knew which tyres to use, or how to get those bloody black pins off without breaking them when we removed the fairing the first time. And when those stories started coming through of people dying O/S on dead straight bits of road where their rear tyres appeared to have locked up for no reason? And then we found about about the subframe breaks. And we all pillioned for the first times and you guys were STOKED at how good they were and I was dirty because your pillions are 60kgs and 5'5'' while mine tend to be 6'5'' and 120kgs (now that's a whole new beast).
I'm going to go get me a rocking chair and a porch now.
Thanks
HEIDI xxx
this is a thread in itself about when it all started and things about the Bus back then...great reading.

appreciate all your comments, yea Heidi does go back to memory lane. weve come a long way since using that so called chat site on Peter Lee's website with about 16 members australia wide. Good to see its still running too, many a busa site have long folded, even the americans have had a few changes of sites of the years with different ppl running them. At least we can still say truthfully, been here since 1999.

Excellent story Volvi.
Congratulations to you and all the other founders of this great club.
Even though members may come and go, now that we have our own site, combined with the long life of the busa, I am sure that the club will be around for a very long time.
Most of the members share your love of the busa mate.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"
