One day's ride is easy to calculate. I have a very special custom rear end that will dictate the duration of travel, rather than distance travelled. Typically 6 or 7 hours with a few smoke and pie breaks is the limit. This particlular rear end now has quite a lot of Kay's on it, but has been fairly predictable the past few years. Yes, my arse will last around 7 hours max in the saddle.

There are many accommodation options but few that can cater for a group of 70 or more.
It is a smallish town though and there are numerous options within walking distance of the main centre and beach.
A big range in prices as well.

Hey Volvi,
Canberra is surrounded by the best roads to ride bikes on ever. We could easily do a loop that incorporated Barteman's Bay Brown Mountain etc - problems only being - plod everywhere on the coast road during summer. The Snowy Mountains Highway - via Tumut would be awesome and keepo us away from the pld - as long as it didn't rain on the SMH.

Food for thought, mind you the Canberrans would like a ride away from Canberra thank you. Mudgee is sounding GREAT!

Mudgee would be my second choice and also had great roads and facilities.
The Ulysses AGM was there a few years ago and the city is very bike friendly.

Mudgee would defently be a better spot over the summer than a coastal place and its abit more even for Vic & Qld riders so worth looking in to
