Interesting point to note about the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae was the fact that if they had not stood and fought that it would have dramatically changed the English speaking world.

Havent seen the movie, but know this as one of the key pivotal moments in History.

Have not seen the movie yet but the battle itself is identified by Historians as one of the more pivotal battles of all time. It is presumed that if the Spartans had not won their Pyhrric victory then we wouldnt be speaking English now.
