I have mentioned this early but it may have been over looked.
I think there is merit in having a members only area to keep some topics away from public eye. ie Sprited Rides, G Thread, Club Specials, Sin Bin etc. I am sure there are other topics/categories that would benefit from this.

True but if they cant see it then they wont be looking for it.
Another site I visit has a members only area that requires a Password.
Just a thought to keep sensitive info away from the public.

I take your point Shayne and know it exists on other sites. But when asked for password by nics one doesnt know or familiar with what do you do.
You know what maybe later or soon enough we might introduce that with those that have 50+ posts to theyre name, would that be the way to go?

This is possible with a plugin

That could work Volvi, save having a seperate PW, bit of a bummer for anyone under 50 but for some of the Post Whores round here that should be no problem.
Was it the Plugin that gave it away sumkhun

this should be easy to setup with security levels in mybb admin section - I would say 55 posts or over - or maybe do it on who we really know & suss out the rest? :P
like that Dj pete guy - dont know if I'd trust him :P
whats happening with this option?
the g thread for instance could be 18+ & passworded
Everything is possible, but Volvi's point is quite valid. We don't validate who every member is, therefore, anyone wanting to go in to the members area just creates an account. And if they want the password, they will just ask for it, and why should we not think it is a valid request?
The G-Thread is currently only available if registered and logged in, by the way, at least to stop it appearing for the caasual browser....
There is probable merit in at least this level of security for the suggested forums...
We could have an alternate group, for "validated members", and only allow membership in that group on a one-by-one basis....
