HELP!
#1
The bus got stolen 10 mins ago from outside work. I've rung all the radio stations and motorcycle shops in Canb, now working my way out to Sydney.

The bastards had a green gemini and a blue box trailer. As I was describing it to the cops I told them it had a tiny scratch on the left hand fairing, no more than 3cms long. The girl who WATCHED them take my bike then chipped in with, 'oh no, it would be worse than that, they picked it up and SLID it into the trailer on its side. It will be all scratched now'.

Um... thanks. That helped.

Please keep your ear to the ground. I figure someone is going to be offered an engine in good nick in the next few weeks. If you hear of anything give me a hoy on the board and I'll give you my details.

I am devestated.

Heidi,

Bugger!

Looking on the bright side, the loss of your "ride" and the pain in the insurance premiums next year are well and truely offeset by the joy of a new 'Busa and the pleasure of running that puppy in!

You might not be to impressed with the limited speed on the latest model however.

I have let the boys at Newcastle Suzuki know to keep a look out.

Hello Heidi

Is there nothing considered sacred out there any more????

I think it's high time we demand much tougher penalties for these sorts of crimes. I realise that may not help you Heidi, but when I read of you plight, it just makes my blood boil and I'm ready to hang the bastards.

I realise that you are far away from here, but if you do get desperate enough and the settlement is going to be long-winded and you happen to be in town, give me a call and you can borrow my bus for a squirt anytime.

You are really in a no-win situation, if the bastards are caught and you recover your bike, it's probably damaged and will be off road for a while, not to mention that it may never be the same again. If they don't recover it, you will probably be out of pocket even if you are fully insured, not to mention the premium hike and the time frame involved.

You have my full sympathy and it makes me sad that we have to contend with such dishonesty in this modern day society.

Cheers
Les

Very sad news Heidi :(
I'll keep an eye out down Mt White and Stanwell tops ... is there anything else that might identify the bike?

Yeah, there is an identifying mark on it now. To load it on to the tralier they picked it up, flipped it onto its left side and SLID it along the bottom of the trailer.

I'd say it will look a bit like a blue\silver that has been down the road.

There wasn't a f*&^ing mark on it before that!

Just out of interest did you have a disc lock on? (Would have made no difference eh?)

Well my brother and I are going for a ride to Mt White tomorrow so we'll keep an eye out - I'm guessing they'll probably use it for part though ....

Could you give a bit better description of Busa e,g.aftermarket stuff etc.
There is a muster on in Wagga at weekend and i will have a look around. But as you say if it has been on side should be easily to I.D.

Hi guys

I know it is a long shot, but here you go.
VIN JS1A1131400100725

Rego 54720 (ACT)

Blue/silver, unmarked (apart from scratches all down the left side), Megacycle pipes, Scottoiler system, full first aid kit under the seat. Was wearing the rear seat at the time (how embarassment).

Thanks heaps for the emails and bodily threats against thieves, it is much apreciated.

I rode a few things on the weekend. Loved the new Bandit 12 engine, but the styling sucked. Rode the ZX9, but took it back complaining it was a little underpowered (the guy laughed at me). Hopped on a few other things, but haven't found anything that makes me sit up and take notice.

Thanks guys

It's enough to remember the last 3 digits of the VIN, as all the prior numbers are the same for busas in Australia.

Mine for example is bike number 33 in Oz, and Heidi's 725.

Humm, what number are they up too, and is there that many busas in Oz?

Heidi wrote........... "Hopped on a few other things, but haven't found anything that makes me sit up and take notice".

And Heidi, I reckon NOTHING WILL!

So why not consider a pre-loved busa?
