Next official Victorian ride day - Sat 7th Oct
#1
Advance notice of the next ride day. Meeting place and time to be determined, but the wheels are in motion, and the plans are firming up. Weather is improving guys, so keep the day free, and hopefully we will get a good turn out.

I wonder if the other states can get themselves organised for a ride day on the same weekend? Gary and Joanne, Fox, etc, Interstaters, let me know if you need an up to date contact list.

When is the 500 GP on? does it effect the above date?

If not how about a volenteer to be ride captain and organise the route. Anyone?

Well, how about it all you New South Welshmen and Canberrans? Anyone interested or are you all going to wuss out again? Maybe we could go somewhere other than Mt White and/or Wisemans Ferry. The latest Two Wheels has an article about good rides around Sydney. Let me know if anyone has any preferences.

As the lone voice of reason from Canberra can I just say, 'HEY!! I take umbrage at that!!!'

I ride every weekend, I take on all commers out the back of Canberra. I usually win (but sometimes I get scared). So far I have managed to get about 700kms out of my 207 and it is rooted on the edges. I have never wussed out of anything in my LIFE!

I don't have time to come to Sydney any time soon (if I go to Sydney I spend time with my sister and then I can't ride for a day or so because my reaction time is rooted), but why don't we meet at Macquarie Pass/ Kangaroo Valley? That is a nice ride for all of us, we can scoot up and down Macquarie Pass for a while, lunch Kangaroo Valley, all head home?

Just a thought.

I'm in for anything!

It would be good to meet the famous (infamous?) Heidi tho .. :) & Kangaroo Valley sounds like a good change from Mt White (much as I love looking at the bikes there).

I know my Bro & Nephew would like to go too ... (I guess I should ask them first..)

BTW I met a Busa rider in Pitt street the other day (had to catch him first) He said he's selling the Busa and giving up biking 'cos the Busa's too fast!!! Go figure ...

Sorry Heidi, the "wuss" comment was more so directed at my fellow Sydneysiders, the stories you post on the board are more than enough to convince anyone that you wouldn't wuss out of anything!!! Just wanted to include you in the ride day. Heading south for the next ride was exactly what Gary and I had in mind. Watch this space for further details.

Glenn is currently in route planning mode. Something to keep us all alert! If what I have read on other posts is anything to go by, then if the road bends and he goes straight, follow the road, not Glenn Anyway, he will confirm soon whether he will captain the ride.

WHO!!???

WOW!! Maybe I will find someone to PLAY with !!!! Do they ride a bus? YAY!!

On the ride idea, if we decide to meet kangaroo Valley ish, you guys get a top ride down through the national Park, Thirroul to The Gong etc. Not terribly fast in places, but very pretty. For most of you it would be under 100kms to get there. What you bunch should consider is coming to Canberra for a weekend. Not only do we have THE BEST roads very close by, but it is also the porn capital of Australia. What else could one ask for.

maps are being done as we speak. Meeting place will be the shell service station just out of Lilydale on LHS before Warburton turn off on Maroondah Hwy. Departure will be on time. For anyone who arrives late there will be a map left for them at the service station. More info will be forthcoming. Please start to post acceptances so that one of the local watering holes can be notified of approx numbers for lunch.

Thanks for your efforts, Glenn. Early that week I will contact all non-discussion board readers to try and get an accurate number.

Count me in for 2.

Shall be on your ride there Mt Evelyn Mountie providing work commitments can be worked around as I want to see if Snags can blow the R1 in the tight stuff........So I'll be R1 mounted.........guess I'll have to come along as a guest rider and keep the roads as tight as Glen, you know the tighter the better .LMAO Boss Edited by: Boss2  at: 9/25/00 4:59:45 pm
