Thanks Simmo,
I'll be coming up from Wollongong, so I'll meet you guys at Bald Hill Lookout--Stanwell Tops at 9am.

From the 7/11 at Moorebank to Maccas at Heathcote is only 15mins.....be very carefull after the Illawarra junction , there's along downhill section there and its a good place for a marked station wagon setup with a camera taking pics to be on the side of the road just before the Right hand sweeper

Thanks to Franko for organising todays ride / tour around the Southern Highlands and South Coast mountain passes. I think I counted 16 bikes all up

Great to see so many out and about enjoying the absolutely beaut weather, and some quick safe riding by all. No accidents and no infringements!!!!!!.

Good to put some faces to names and have a chat too.

Must get together for another ride soon............. have a good week

I second that motion - thanks Frank Brilliant day to be out riding and the company was even better. Just got back in (stayed at the Pub for a few more jugs ) and will be posting some pics for you all soon. Great meeting you all and thanks for being patient with a female p plater on an Aprilia and painkillers, with a penchant for beer!

Macca, Gregg and Yvonne, great seeing you guys again - we'll have to all do it again real soon.

Hope you all have a great week.

Great day,

see you guys(Jules you're one of the guys aren't you-you sure ride that way!)for the next one.
Can we just add a bit more heat to the sun for the next one.
How'd the photo go Dave?
I counted 17 bikes at Mt Keira(I think) incl. the 11 busas.
Maybe there was a ringin in the count. Then there was Macca who met up at the Picton Pub. Heaps of fun, we should organise a weekend ride when the weather warms a bit more.

cheers,

WARD

Thanks for the ride today gang, really good to put faces to names. Great weather but I second the motion to add abit of temp on the remote for the sun's output....

Looking forward to the photos, we should of got a photo with all the bikes just to show the Melbornians what a turnout we really had. (they wouldn't beleive us anyway).....

Yep.....great day,great ride,great company.

Really...all credit should go to everyone who rocked up to enjoy...& that`s exactly what happened...SERIOUS ENJOYMENT

Hows `bout we pencil in another one for about a months` time...say the 24th Aug ?? Mayb in a northerly direction this time?? (NB:Still a bit too much `SNOW` happening in them there mtns,to the west,to consider that just yet,eh?)

Cheers,Franko,ridin`and countin` down!!

PS: And,Throwdown...gotta ask ya mate...with your tyre being fitted `the wrong way round` ,does that mean your odometer reading is progressively being `wound back`??? Mmmm!!
Methinx ya gotta get that seen to...like real quick!!
Hope you enjoyed the day, mate.See ya next time.

Doing it today.

My first bike ride out in a group ever. Very enjoyable, apart from all those unknown twisties. I think I entered something like 85% of the corners wrong. A couple were close to 'hello tarmac' time.

A lot of common 'L' plate mistakes came flooding back to me, like looking at the bike in front's tail light instead of the road ahead. Great to see faces, and I'll come again next time. Don't know why I haven't done this sooner.

On the ride home, I'd say the day noticeably improved my riding. If you ride alone, all that happens is you become your own yardstick, and improve your bad habits. That's one of the things I got from the ride, it reminded me of how I used to ride, and couldn't anymore.
Great stuff. Thanks to all who looked after me.

My thanks to everyone as well. I'm not going to worry about putting my photos up though - they look very similar to the ones already there, strangely enough...

It was great to see so many 'Busas in one spot, and checking out everyones modifications was interesting. If I only had the time. And the money. And the tools. And the skills...

Bike handling badly? Tyre on backwards? There's a good chance the two are connected. With the tyre constructed to stand up to forces in pretty much one direction only, it could be deforming a lot under power.

Thanks all great day out, great effort Wardy from the north & Gazza from the south, i was amazed how a w/gong ride could end up in sydney pub after a w/gong ride ?? . Also not to mention a P -Plater cruising on 200 kmph ? are you sure my speedo is that far out , Throwdown you did ok, spin that tyre around and that 85% will turn around also to 15%, better than the rest of us. Regard Robert Look for snow chains to fit the bussa .

What we should really do is organize a ride day at eastern creek sometime soon, I know it's not everybody's cup of tea but you'll be suprised how much it improves your confidence in cornering even if it's for half a day......
