Having my licence suspended for 1 month l realy thought about selling the busa at first l thought whats the point you can't enjoy going for a ride always looking down at the speedo & whats going to be round the next bend.
Going in to my 3rd week now with out riding the busa & l just no l can't sell it, every time l lift the garage door & see that bike 'its like whoo' if you know what l mean.
( jon lt must be hard for you)
so whats the answer do the right thing and stop & pay
for your so called crime or give it a big fist full & keep your licence?.

Hey Johno.
U'd be CRAZY to sell the Busa if it was just for 1 month. Jeez. If U even thought of doing it U shouldn't have it. ) [j/k]

It's a fkn c*nt not being allowed to ride when it has become as much a part of your life as taking a piss has. No riding + lack of 'other' pleasures [read:sex] is pretty horrid at times. argh

I can totally understand the thought of just continuing to ride. Truth be told, if it was for 1 month only, then I'd be tempted to ride it for that month HOWEVER, on the otherhand it's only 1 month and from the sound of it you've only got another week to go so I'd say f' it, STAY OFF the road, and do the whole time. It'd suck so bad if you decided to start riding with one week left only to get busted.

I've made it pretty easy for myself to be discouraged from riding - since I have un-registered it I don't have plates, so if I went for a ride past Mr Policeman I'd be picked up pretty quickly.

There are probably a few of us around who have continued to ride, but I'd do the remaining time.

Cheers,
-jon-
PS You CAN do it!
PPS I just read the stuff about not being able to 'ride' normally, hence the desire to sell. I can understand that too, I retract my other statement.
PPPS The Busa is a sexy beast... mmmmmmmm [homer style]

Hey slong, you poor bastard. No ride for 12 months AND little sex Whats the world comming to?I did my licence for 6 months a few years ago, like 4 really, and i ran the gauntlet. As i live in the outer burbs and my fav rd is about 1/2 hour away,i'de ride up there most sundays(very casual and non attention seeking)to my fav destination, then thrash the living daylights out of it and then very casually ride home.Sure there was a chance i could get pulled up for a licence check, but thats the game we play. You take the chance, its up to you?Although if i was doing only a month,i'de hang out.

You boys should consider yourselves lucky....!!!!!!!

I just got my licence back in oct 02' after losing it for 4 YEARS, try using public transport ( it f*&^ing sucks ).
I kept myself busy by racing, but f*** me it was hard. I will never go through that again, if i lose it this time f*** it i'll just keep riding. There are people out there doing worse things than me speeding on the backroads for fucks sake.

P.S As you can see this topic really gets me fired up.......

I was really, really bad as a teenager, having had lost my licence 5 times for speeding, no seat belt, neg driving, street racing, etc,etc....1 month , then 3 months, 6, 12, then 4 1/2 years ago got caught doing some ridiculous speed (which I wont mention ) and got locked up...
.....anyway went to court , the majestrate took one look at my record and as they say "through the book at me" the rest is history....

Got my busa and loving every minute of it, as long as i can keep my licence.

Doesn't worry me, I ain't planning on losing it .....! but it would be interesting. I've already been done on easter w'end and am down to 6 points already, after only just getting it back 6 months ago.

By my calculation I should keep it just long enough for the Moto GP ( hehehe ) but who knows........

I have the answer:

1 x Honda CT110 Postie bike for sale.

$1000 reg and rwc. Top speed of 90 downhill, 60 uphill.

3 litres per 120 kays.

Any interest.

I've ridden this thing along the ring road and citylink at 70-80 km/h and cops just drive past laughing. I get pulled over once every couple of months on the 'Busa (and on my old 250), but I no matter how hard I try, I can't get pulled over on the postie. Even popping a mono at the lights won't stir them up. And it keeps you sensible when riding - no urges to open it up like on a 'Busa. If I lose my license I'll get another postie (If i've sold this one in the meantime.)

I might just consider it... except I'm broke at the moment due to the fact I just bought myself a new Hindle exhaust system.

Hey Rod,

Maybe the sweep should be on the speed, what do you think? Any takers??

And Pete, you can still screw open the CT like you do the Bus. Just nothing more happens!!

Cheers, Dave.
