Have been experimenting with different types of Premium Unleaded Petrol. Can't believe the difference I find from Brand to Brand. Servo to Servo.
My preference is 1st Ampol Gold then Mobil.
Does anyone know what 7/11 or Safeway use? (Only in case of emergency!).
Some sort of cleaning fluid, I think...
Don't know if this is true or not but i have been told that since the busa operates on regular unleaded fuel that there's no point spending the extra money on premium fuels. The reason i was given is that there isnt a sensor on the bike that will knock back the timing when regular is used nor will it advance the timing when premium is used. Any thoughts.

I've read that premium fuels have a higher volatility & higher flame propagation speed which results in higher BMEP cylinder pressure & therefore more piston downforce is applied on the power stroke.
Didn't a former regular poster here do some dyno runs with different fuels & confirmed that they do produce more power, & some more than others ............archives ?
rail300 as my wife works for shell I am informed that Mobil,Ampol and Caltex sre the same fuel company and the only fuel I use is Caltex Vortex the Busa goes like a shot but the downside of vortex is i seem to get lesser K,s / tank might be the way I ride it or just the fuel burns better and faster. Well that 's my view on this topic.

I went from normal Unleaded to Mobil PULP and noticed the engine sound change and it ran smoother.
Gave Ampol Gold a go. I swear its kicked on again! Feels & sounds like it has more power.
Well worth the extra couple of cents per litre for me.
There was a comparison with the fuels a while ago rev01. I think Mobil 8000 synergy came out on top. (Or close to it)
Maybe we can add some of Al's snake oil anti stone chip to a tank. (I'm in trouble now!)
Anything but Shell Optimax!
Yeah GDY guess it's not wise to ride a bike with new paint behind a busa missile flinging out rocks at full noise eh
Never mind, it's all being fixed right now ready for the weekend Head em up & move em out
