I'm looking at getting a set of slip-ons in carbon fibre for my Black/silver '02 Busa.

Can everyone give me their opinions on what's good.

Power increase isn't too important (but eh, the more the merrier ), just a nice engine note (not overly loud, just louder than stock)

Please include cost and possibly piccies in your posts (or e-mail me pic's)

I wonder if you are having trouble putting your email address in because it has an '_' underscore in it...

There are a number of locally made products you may want to consider, especially for slip ons. Megacycle, Roo racing, and another Melbourne based one who I keep forgetting the name of all get pretty good wraps on regular occurences.

A definite weight saving with a few horsepower as an added bonus. I remember being challenged by some Katana 1100 try hard on my own Katana 1100.

I had dialled stock cams, more compression, relapped valve seats, air box mod & bigger jets but STANDARD EXHAUST.

He had Yoshi 4 into 1, big cams & flat slide carby's. We rolled on in second & I pulled 50 metres on him over 2 km !! The bloke couldn't believe that a bike sans 4 into 1 could beat his bike LOL As for CB 1100 r's, never got called out !

Hey Peter,

I've got some Remus slipons which sound nice to my ears, not overly loud. U can check em out tomorrow [if you make it this time eh -grin-]. I don't know how much they cost [had a feeling they were ~$80 coz they came with the bike. I've got them removed at the moment to sand back behind the sticker [which I removed due to fading]. Why not run the Busa with no cans? Heh, it sounds kinda cool the first time I heard it, guessing it'd affect the engine in some way, not to mention noise pollution.

Anyway, see you tomorrow night [possibly],

true story...

About 7 or 8 years ago the coppers went on strike (well not really but wouldnt hand our traffic infringements for a day)where I was living in NSW. So, I did what any respectable motorcyclist would do and took the muffler off the ZXR 750, as did my mate on his CBR and rode around town without a lid on. Classic.
