What day suits for group day at Broadford?
#1
Further to some interest shown by some members in my "Winton" topic for a group day at Broadford I have decided to make some further enquiries.

But it would be helpful if I could have an idea of what day suits people best out of those people that would be genuinely interested in doing a group track day.

Any other comments also welcome.

By the way, I think we would be far better off doing something at the Island, specially with Busas...but I'm happy to pursue the Broadford option if that's what people want.I would be interested in a Saturday at BroadfordI would be interested in a Sunday at BroadfordI would prefer to get something going at the IslandI am not really interested in doing a track day.Show results

You'd know better than most but the words 'broadford' and 'goat track' are pretty much synonymous??

Phillip Island is the go, but you know what it's like to organise a ride on the street let alone the track

I'm most likely back at the Island mid Feb...

Yeah i'll second that regarding trying to organise anybody!

Actually Luc I've not ridden the Broadford track, so I can only go on what I've heard, which is similar to what you say.

Personally I don't think this will go anywhere. I posted several months ago about getting a group together for a day at the Island on Melbourne Cup Day, a day that I thought would have been ideal when you consider that it is reasonably difficult to get a track day at the Island on a weekend.

But there was virtually no response. I still had a great day though.

true story, the perils of organising ride days would be an amusing read...

I'll up the ante with a date, 16th Feb at the Island...I've got one other busa already. If can get 6 bikes booked at once (aka a miracle!) can get a discount of $30 each to $120 for the day...

GOAT TRACK:">

Broadford is not a track for limp dick nancy boys who don't have the strength for a dry wank, let alone muscle a 1300cc 250kg behemoth around a route tighter than a nun's arse!

(only track i've been on so i really wouldn't know, it is 250cc heaven though)

Bigshow when would you need definite #'s there's a few here if you don't mind mixing with a 12 and a blackbird.
My interest in Broardford or Winton is there close, Phillip Island is 4+ hours and usually means accomadation costs as well.

Believe me Maj, the difference is worth it!

Luc, I can't believe that...only on Tuesday I booked myself and Firestorm Mark into a ride day on 13th Feb! There is no way I can make the 16th as well. Maybe sometime in April? Give people more time to get organised?

I've only ever ridden broadford, so like Ressac, I'm not the one to make comparisons. I do know that I enjoyed the day a helluva lot. More interested in practicing cornering skills than scratching up record lap times, so any track will do.

As with my preference, I'd rather do Broadford (can walk there in 10 minutes) or Winton. Would love to do PI, but want to get some more track experience first, and a trailer.

Weekends are free for the moment, but am expecting a little son soon (another Busa man in the making). Not expecting too many free weekends after April.

Thanks mate. Must catch up since I'm just up the road and go for a burn.

Actually, must get my sorry arse on a ride with the rest of the club and meet some people. I'm up for a track day when organised (if on a weekend). May even be worth pulling a sickie for!

Maj no dramas on mixing it with the bird etc, I know a few other guys that will be at the island on the 16th too...
I haven't actually paid for the 16th yet, another offer has come up, Feb 21 (saturday) at Winton with my preferred organiser - www.championsridedays.com.au/dates.htm
Cost is $125 for the day, there looks like 4 or 5 of us already we may need another to get a 20% discount if you're interested...

Scott, I'm guessing the 13th is with sbkschool? You never know if I'm out that way I may pop in and say hi sbkschool don't advertise their dates on the web anymore? business is that good??D">
