the rumours of my turbo have been greatly exaggerated...

A German vid with a ghostrider interview ghostrider.wmv (18meg) Not being fluent in German, here's a rough transcript of the interview...

SP: A whole team of motorcycle outlaws man the cameras to capture the neck breaking traffic violations of the two-wheeled Zorro on video.
SP: Ghost rider can enjoy the awe of his fans only anonymously.
SP: Spiegel TV tracked down the man in the black leather suit.
SP: To protect him from authorities, his identity has to remain hidden.
SP: We'll call him Bjorn.
GR: I'm Ghost Rider and this is the most powerful turbo Hayabusa in the world.
GR: It has 499HP at the rear wheels. It's a damn fast bike.
SP: How fast can it go?
GR: Top speed is over 450KPH, but in current trim it's around 370KPH.
SP: A normal Hayabusa with its 175HP can do only 300KPH--not enough for Ghost Rider.
GR: This is the wastegate and it regulates how much boost the turbo makes.
GR: So, when you go around 320KPH, you can twist the throttle a little more and lift the front wheel.
SP: These aren't empty words.
SP: This was filmed on Swedish highways.
SP: The chase motorcycle is traveling just shy of 300KPH.
SP: Ghost Rider flies by on his turbo Hayabusa--on one wheel.
SP: Motorcycle insanity at speeds greater than 300KPH.
GR: Danger is an important factor.
GR: Whenever we ride, we do everything in our power to minimize the risk.
GR: But, there's always the risk factor posed by the normal traffic, because they sometimes drive erratically. And that's really dangerous.
GR: But, ah, I can say for myself that I've been driving like this for 10 years and I'm still alive and still well, so...
SP: At www.ghostridermovie.net, everyone can ride along.
SP: Controlled, insane rides on VHS or DVD.
SP: Each time, the Swedish Traffic Police plays a special role.
VID: The police are powerless to stop Ghost Rider. And understandably so. They say that catching a myth is harder than catching your own shadow.
SP: Desperately, the authorities try to stop the man.
SP: According to Swedish law, he must be caught in the act.
GR: They know about the bike. They know that this is the Ghost Rider of Stockholm.
GR: Every time, they do everything possible to catch the guy riding the bike.
SP: At that without considering their own losses.
GR: It's like a race. If you want to win at the racetrack, you have to finish before your opponents.
GR: And, in this case the opponents are the police.
GR: If he passes you, you have lost, so you have to do whatever you can to be faster than the police.
SP: According to him, he has never been caught. And there have been no injuries--at last not in Sweden
SP: He has big plans for the future.
SP: The next Ghost Rider film will take place in Europe.
SP: Filming will start in the upcoming spring--in Germany also.

Good job with the translating, man.

The only German I know is Munich.

Oh, and my sister in law, Jutta.

I forgot Stuttgart...and Cologne...maybe Leverkusen...

Hey, I can speak German!

What have they done with that video so you can only play or stop, no seeking or rewinding....

Like that guy who falls off and gets his leg caught up in the back wheel...

And that cop that pulls out in the traffic behind him and gets sideswiped...
