This post is on behalf of Aerocat1.
Last month Peter was involvd in an accident with a car that turned across his path. Unfortunately according to the discussion I've had with Peter both the bike and himself came off very much second best, with Peter spending considerable time in hospital, and more hospital time to come.
The question; Does anybody in the Melbourne area know of any lawyers who specialise in motorcycle accident cases. If they do, please post on here. Peter will be checking the forum during the week. Otherwise feel free to PM myself or Peter and I will pass on the information to him.
Thank you for your help. The sooner we can get the info to Peter the sooner he can act upon it.
Regards
Graham

You're right DJ, Aerocat is from Melbourne. We met up the last time I was down there for business and attended one of your latte nights where one of you tried to push the bike into the cafe because it rained a little bit
He's asked me to help him out in this situation by posting on behalf as he is unable to get to a PC for obvious reasons. Thanks for the input so far guys.

Thanx Guys for the comments and help.
I gotta be quick here.
Had an accident on Montague St, South Melbourne on 6th July. Was pretty horrific - will post photos later. T-boned a car, I had a green light. on way to work one morning.
Injuries:
* Twisted right leg, no weight on right leg for 2 months;
* Broken Pelvis - 2" split at front and rear. Titanium plate fitted at front withh big wounds;
* Muscles and tendons were torn off pelvis that hold legs inwards;
* Bruised and lacerated groin - Fuel tank imprint is amazing and tearful;
* Bruised stomach;
* 2.5 L contaminated drained from damaged lungs and bladder, liver etc;
* 3 broken and fractured ribs;
* Wear a back brace big metal contraption for 2 months 24/7 while back heals - 3 Thorasic spine fractured & all heavily bruised - Back in pain - no movement for 3 weeks in bed;
* Neck brace for 1st 10 days;
* broken nose from helmet impact, and 2 blue swollen eyes (still broken, fix in 1 month);
* Shoulder blades and shoulders immense pain, ligaments unable to fully use and muscles siezed at times;
* Left arm Ulna bone broken at wrist - Splinted - 6 weeks not use, heaviest objerct I can pick up is a magazine in left arm;
* right arm bad, but ok;
* heavy bruising and skin damage in places;
* Big left toe ok!
Was wearing full gear at time, so survived with Dainese and Dririder, ARAI, etc. Paramedic cut gear off me when I came to 2 hours later, and said that my "turtle shell" Spine Protector saved my life (after all - the spine holds the whole bed together).
Was in Alfred Hospital for 3.5 weeks in Trauma, now in Rehab for a few months to learn to walk again, and function body. Will return to work 6 months from now.
Getting there - being hurried..... Will touch base again next week
Peter

Hey Pete,
you're alive man, your injury list means you must have gotten close and friendly with the angels. Glad you're still on this side, life is for the living, bloody well done. Heal slowly and make the joins strong, you have a long life in front of you.
